Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel 92% HONEST Review
A couple of months ago, I lowkey went obsessed with plotting my step-by-step skin care routine. I did not know where to start, I only had a good set of a facial soap, day and night creams, and a toner. I was contented with my routine for a time. I was more of a make-up junkie than of a skin care enthusiast so I don’t spend much on skin care products, until I stumbled upon a YouTube video of Michelle Dy (a famous beauty vlogger, if you don’t know her but I bet you all do. Lol) wherein she claimed that one of the keys in achieving every make-up look, is mainly taking care of the skin. It is essential for every make-up enthusiasts to take note of this since putting a lot of make-up product could induce damage to the skin. For this reason, it is when I only realized that I need to step up my skin care game. Just when I was browsing through skin care products online, a friend of mine introduced Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel to me. As a starter, I already went gaga over this product.
In this blog, I will share important facts which I will break down into its product features or the packaging and content, its PROS and CONS, my experiences with it, and of course, its effect.
But first, what convinced me to try this product?
Or should I say, WHO convinced me to try it out? All thanks to one of my RK friends John William Clomera or who I prefer to call “Madam Yamita” for introducing me to this. It was technically a “gift” in return of writing and editing blogs for him. So I gave it a try! Another gift I received was the Aztec Indian Healing Clay that serves as a face mask. A huge thanks to my ever generous friend, Yam! Follow him on Instagram and Twitter with this handle @ohprincewilliam and be one of his friends! HAHAHAHAHA!
So now, let me go ahead with the review.
Searching for what’s best for our skin is not easy and a bit expensive, right? And we cannot deny the fact that our skin becomes more fragile as we age, that’s why we are looking for ways on how to prevent our skin from aging. Being picky from choosing what is “hiyang” for our skin, especially for my dry skin type is not easy, so I hope this review can help you decide.
THE PRODUCT
PACKAGING AND CONTENT
Mumuso Aloe Vera gel has 300g. As for the packaging, it is shaped like an ordinary cylinder tub which is visible on the image above. It is green in color, and has a thick consistency but once you apply it on your skin, it melts right away, and the scent? I just don't like the combination of an aloe vera scent with a hint of rubber or plastic scent that I smell from it. Let me just reiterate, just a hint of a rubber or plastic scent.
Features: Used to treat acne, insect bites, sunburnt and dry skin. It is also useful in alleviating eczema and in hydrating skin. Can also use as a cream or facial mask to repair and moisturize skin at the end of the day.
Ingredients: Deionized water, Glycerol, Propanediol, Aloe Vera, Trehalose, Xanthan Gum, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), D-Alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Allantoin, Methylisothiazolinone.
The above ingredients are good enough to make this product works especially as a moisturizer. Most of it acts to simply keep your skin feeling soft, lovely, and moistIf your skin does feel some sensitivity to this product, then select some alternatives instead. But it definitely works for me.
Recommendation:
Just apply a small amount of it on your face and neck and wait for a few seconds to absorb then you will feel fresh and clean.
Alright, if you'll ask me what if I would recommend it, of course I would. I have been using non-stop since I got it, especially on those days when I have terribly dry skin. To help you decide, here are its PROS AND CONS:
PRO/S
1. Affordable
2. Provides intense moisture and leaves MY skin supple
3. Helps minimize tiny bumps on MY face
4. You can sleep on it overnight.
CON/S
1. Has a hint of a plastic-y scent
2. Feels heavy and tacky on the face, sometimes
3. Takes time to dry
HOW I USE THEM AND HOW DO THEY FEEL I actually use them as a daily overnight mask, right after exfoliating. I just apply a generous amount of product on my face and just leave it on until I wake up. It melts like water upon application and has some cooling effect when applied. It gives me a minimal tingling sensation upon application, especially when I just peeled off a mask. As for the tackiness, Mumuso feels very sticky and heavy on the skin. I also don't like the fact that it takes more than a minute for it to dry and to be thoroughly absorbed by my skin. So I also apply a hydrating gel and moisturizer to lock in the soothing effect.
EFFECT/S
So far, I’ve been enjoying using it. Now here's the most important question, do they deliver good results? The answer- YES. I have used these products for more than a month and both have different effect on me. Mumuso gives me a very supple and super moisturized skin. However, it doesn't do much on the tiny bumps that I occasionally have on my face. But this is my go-to product whenever my skin feels dry and dull.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Considering that it is cheap and hindi agad nauubos, now I have it as an essential in my skin care routine. The only downside of having Mumuso Aloe Vera Gel is you have to keep its consistency, so in my case, I put in the fridge to maintain its thick substance. Another is, you can only find it in selected stores nationwide, Quezon excluded. The reason why I only use a minimal amount before I could actually run out of it. Lol. This product is a great find and I highly recommend it! Now that it is included in my 10-step skin care routine, I might share it to you in the next blog, soon! Whatcha think? ;-)
